The Times's cycle safety campaign

In tomorrow's edition of The Times (on Thursday Feb 2nd), we will be launching our major cycle safety campaign, to take the lessons learned from Mary's awful accident and try to pressure the Government and City Halls around Britain into revolutionising streets for cyclists.

So please don't be shocked if you see a picture of Mary in the paper tomorrow (possibly even on the front page!). She will be looking lovely as ever, but it is no reason for alarm, she is still making tiny baby steps in the right direction - it is simply part of the paper admitting that we are launching this campaign because of how deeply everyone misses Mary around the newsroom and how much she is still in people's thoughts.

I'll post another update tomorrow with a link to the campaign and a place where we can all add our email addresses to support the protest against the Government. And please do Tweet and Facebook and blog about it and any other way you can think of to build momentum around getting something done about the scandalous state of British streets for cyclists.
