Mary has had an infection in her leg this week. This could potentially be really quite serious as it could signify that the metalwork in Mary's leg (and there is now a fair bit of it, good job she's not going through a heathrow metal detector this summer) needs to be taken out. This would be a major operation, bring far more risks and potentially be upsetting for Mary. So we got the gang of prayers praying this week and the infection seems to have gone.. yey! We continue to pray for Mary's recovery and freedom from infection. In the meantime her leg will be re-assessed again at Homerton in the next few weeks.
A week ago I went to see Mary with Aahana and James. As we stood in front of her as she woke from her sleep, she looked straight at us, and slowly smiled. Twice.
