Mary is again progressing alittle – some steps forward, some steps back. Typically, Mary is trying to doeverything at once – healing her legs, pelvis, arms, a couple of blood clotsand swelling to her brain as well as regulating her own temperature, bloodpressure, respiration and heart. This is all whilst fighting infection. As suchMary is doing the equivalent of a marathon most days. This will be a little amusingto those of you who know that she applied for next year’s London Marathon. Wellfor all of us who lifted an eyebrow at the suggestion, she is proving our cynicismwrong… again.
As Mary remains unconscious it isdifficult for doctors to assess how she is for the moment, so for all youpraying people, please continue to pray that she would regain consciousness in the comingdays and weeks and that she would overcome any potential damage to her brain. Anyone else can just come in and give her a good shake (no, not really, we aren't allowed to do that).
This Christmas what we couldn't be more thankful for all of those who were on scene at the accident and helped out in every way theycould on the 4th November, for their bravery and quick action. Furthermore we are gifted daily by the incredible teamof caring nurses and super doctors, especially those who will be doing theirnight and day shifts faithfully this holiday season. And we all continue totreasure deeply all of you who have texted, written, cooked, prayed, emailed, calledwith love and support and sat there day in - day out and kept Mary in mind.
From Laura, Ginny and family
