This morning Mary had her tracheostomy successfully removed. She is now breathing on her own, and has no need to have her heart and blood pressure monitored constantly. This is amazing progress, much more comfortable for Mary and marked step in the right direction. Those visiting and nurses on the ward have also noticed Mary tracking objects from left to right much more consistently, pointing toward progress consciousness. The infection in her left leg is still there, but now we hope, under control.
Aahana Hope Fawcett was born on the Monday 3rd September 2012 at 02.30 weighting in at 8lbs 5, Fawcett family are all well.

ReplyDeleteA lot of happiness at CJM on getting this news today, love & prayers going out to Mary. Congratulations on the safe arrival of Aahana, Jennifer copied me the photo - she is very precious and the image of her mum (I think!) she is a very blessed little girl who will hopefully be a big factor in her aunty's progress.
